A seven-night circuit through Rajasthan
Palace on Wheels follows a fixed circuit from Delhi through Rajasthan to Agra and back to the capital. Over seven nights, the train provides a consistent base between guided visits to palaces, forts, desert cities and wildlife reserves. Its cabins draw on the former princely states of Rajasthan, while two restaurant cars, lounges and a bar form the shared spaces. The pace is determined by the sightseeing programme rather than long days spent aboard.

Private cabins between Rajasthan’s historic cities
The current accommodation ranges from Deluxe Cabins to larger Suites, Super Deluxe Cabins and a Presidential Suite, all with private bathrooms and attendant service. Indian and international menus are served in two restaurant cars, with a bar and lounges available between meals. Much of the distance is covered overnight, and early starts are common as the programme moves from one city to the next.
THE JOURNEYS
Rajasthan, Ranthambore and Agra
From Delhi, the circuit continues to Jaipur, Ranthambore and Chittorgarh, then Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Bharatpur before reaching Agra and returning to Delhi. The sequence is fixed, but monument access, wildlife drives and local timings can change. It is best suited to travellers who want a structured introduction to Rajasthan rather than a flexible rail itinerary.
