On the edge of Bacalar's lagoon, Boca de Agua places 22 elevated treehouse villas within dense tropical vegetation. Frida Escobedo's architecture draws on Mayan building traditions, using salvaged and upcycled materials alongside Mexican craft and open structures that sit lightly above the ground. Villas frame the jungle through broad glazing and shaded terraces, with restrained interiors centred on timber and woven detail. Flora restaurant and the bar form the social heart of the property, joined by a plunge pool, cenote access, in-room treatments and water activities on the lagoon. Boardwalks connect the buildings through the forest canopy and towards Bacalar's clear water.
