On the shore of Bacalar Lagoon, Our Habitas Bacalar lies between clear water and the surrounding Maya jungle, welcoming guests from the age of 16. Its A frame tented rooms sit among palms or face the lagoon, using canvas, timber and earth toned interiors; outlooks differ among Jungle, Lagoon Breeze and Lagoon categories. Siete occupies a two storey structure among the treetops, serving produce led dishes from a dining room overlooking the water. Yoga, meditation and bookable wellness treatments accompany a programme of sailing, paddleboarding and other lagoon activities. There is no conventional swimming pool advertised. Wooden decks, low seating and paths through dense vegetation lead directly to the water’s edge.
