Estancia Vik José Ignacio spreads across open countryside outside José Ignacio, combining the scale of a working Uruguayan estancia with contemporary art and architecture. Its twelve suites are individually conceived, with local artists contributing murals, sculpture and decorative details rather than a uniform hotel scheme. The central estancia building opens to broad views of the surrounding grasslands, while the outdoor pool, polo field and riding programme extend the property into the landscape. Meals draw on regional ingredients and traditional asado cooking, including a dedicated parrillero. The long approach through the estate and the absence of neighbouring development preserve the sense of rural space around the house.
