Just off Piazza Navona, G-Rough inhabits a 16th-century palazzo whose faded frescoes, exposed plaster and uneven walls are treated as part of the design rather than concealed. Its suites reference Italian masters including Gio Ponti and Ico Parisi through vintage furniture, lighting and glass from the 1930s to the 1950s. The ground-floor G-Bar operates as both wine gallery and performance space, bringing a more contemporary rhythm to the historic rooms. Heavy doors, worn stone and traces of earlier decoration run through the building, placing Italian design history within the texture of central Rome.
