Hotel Imperial began life as a private palace on Vienna's Ringstrasse, and still carries the ceremonial atmosphere of the city's imperial era. Rooms and suites combine silk walls, antiques, chandeliers and marble bathrooms throughout, with a location near the Musikverein, State Opera and major museums that suits culture focused stays. The building's original grand staircase remains the centrepiece of the lobby, connecting the ground floor to the upper floor suites once reserved for visiting heads of state. Cafe Imperial continues the hotel's ceremonial mood at street level, serving Viennese classics beneath the same nineteenth century detailing found throughout the lobby.
