Il Salviatino occupies a fifteenth-century villa on the hillside near Fiesole, above Florence and its surrounding Tuscan landscape. The building’s stonework, frescoes and historic rooms are balanced by quieter contemporary furnishings across a relatively small collection of guestrooms and suites, many with views towards the city or gardens. Terraced grounds descend around the villa to a multi-level outdoor pool. Giacomo serves Italian cooking in the principal restaurant, while Aquae Vitali Spa occupies a more secluded part of the property. Florence lies below the hill, but the formal gardens, mature trees and elevated setting keep the villa visibly separate from the city.
