At the edge of Perivolos’ black-sand beach, Istoria draws on Santorini’s agricultural and equestrian past rather than the island’s familiar cliffside imagery. Twelve suites combine volcanic stone, terracotta, timber and vaulted forms, with terraces that include private hot tubs or pools in selected categories. Mr E restaurant serves modern Greek dishes beside the water, while a long outdoor pool, spa treatments and a private beach area extend the property through the day. Low walls, sandy paths and weathered materials keep the architecture close to the flat southern coastline.
