Raw quarry slate, concrete, brass, iron, gauze glass and aged mirrors give STRAF its uncompromising identity a few steps from Milan’s Duomo. Vincenzo De Cotiis applies this material language across 64 rooms and suites. Tactile surfaces and deliberately unfinished details take the place of conventional polish. At street level, the restaurant and animated bar open the hotel towards central Milan’s daily movement. The H2O wellness area sits below ground with a small pool and treatment space, connected by dark corridors that continue the building’s sculptural, industrial character.
