Opened in 1910, The Hermitage Hotel stands opposite the Tennessee State Capitol with a grand Beaux-Arts façade and a history closely linked to Nashville’s political life. Restored rooms and suites combine classical proportions with pale contemporary interiors, while the vaulted lobby retains its stained-glass ceiling, marble columns and elaborate plasterwork. Jean-Georges Vongerichten leads Drusie & Darr beneath the building, joined by the more casual Pink Hermit café. The celebrated green-and-black Art Deco men’s room, historic ballroom and richly detailed entrance preserve the hotel’s most recognisable architectural chapters.
