Walker Hotel Tribeca occupies a former ribbon factory on Walker Street, retaining enough of the building’s industrial character to distinguish it from the converted lofts around SoHo. Guestrooms are compact and design-conscious, combining herringbone floors, marble details and C.O. Bigelow products, with higher categories benefiting from taller windows and broader downtown outlooks. The social spaces have very different moods. Saint Tuesday is a subterranean cocktail bar with live music; the rooftop and Seventy Seven Alley are more open. Chinatown, SoHo and Tribeca meet within a few blocks, and Canal Street’s transport links sit close by.
