Opposite the New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue, Andaz 5th Avenue occupies a Midtown position beside Bryant Park. Tony Chi designed the interiors with the proportions of a New York loft, using high ceilings, open layouts, dark timber and large windows. Rooms and suites rank among the more spacious in the neighbourhood, and selected categories add balconies, terraces or views of the library. The Bar Downstairs serves seasonal food and cocktails below street level, while a resident lounge provides a quieter shared space. A 24-hour fitness centre completes the amenities, and Grand Central Terminal, Times Square and the theatres of Broadway are accessible on foot.
