Ett Hem occupies an Arts and Crafts townhouse in Stockholm’s Larkstan district, conceived less as a conventional hotel than a highly considered private home. Ilse Crawford’s interiors layer Scandinavian furniture, books, art and everyday objects across salons, a library, kitchen and glass garden room. Bedrooms vary in tone and proportion, combining natural materials with marble bathrooms and carefully placed textiles. Guests can eat around the kitchen table or in the garden according to the season. The city centre and Ostermalm are close by, yet the quiet residential street and enclosed courtyard establish a markedly domestic atmosphere.
