Grand Hôtel Stockholm has faced the harbour from Norrmalm since 1874, looking towards the Royal Palace and the roofs of Gamla Stan. High ceilings, mouldings and generous room proportions preserve its grand-hotel origins, while bedrooms use cooler contemporary colours and fabrics rather than period-heavy decoration. The dining programme includes Veranda, Grand Soleil and restaurants by Mathias Dahlgren, with Cadier Bar providing the principal lobby setting. The Nordic spa adds saunas, pools, treatment rooms and fitness facilities. Boats, the Nationalmuseum and the bridges towards the old town sit immediately outside, making the waterfront position as important as the hotel’s historic interiors.
