Commissioned for the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition, Hotel Alfonso XIII remains one of Seville’s great landmark hotels. Its Moorish Revival architecture, tiled courtyards, arches and carved details reflect the city’s layered history, while the location beside the Real Alcazar and close to the cathedral places guests at the centre of Seville’s cultural core. Rooms draw on Andalusian design traditions, and the hotel’s restaurants, courtyards and pool create a sense of theatre without losing the warmth of southern Spain.
