In Tribeca, The Greenwich Hotel occupies a discreet brick building whose hand-laid façade fits the surrounding former warehouses. Its 88 rooms and suites are individually composed with reclaimed timber, handwoven rugs, antique furniture and Moroccan-tiled bathrooms; no two follow precisely the same scheme. Locanda Verde opens to the neighbourhood, while the guest-only Drawing Room and planted courtyard provide quieter spaces within the hotel. Below ground, Shibui Spa surrounds a lantern-lit pool beneath the beams of a reconstructed Japanese farmhouse in lower Manhattan.
