At Manhattan’s southern tip, Casa Cipriani New York occupies the restored Battery Maritime Building, its Beaux-Arts ferry halls facing the East River and Brooklyn skyline. Thierry Despont’s 47 rooms and suites combine lacquered mahogany, Italian furnishings, marble bathrooms and maritime references, with terraces or broad windows overlooking the water. Club dining rooms, bars and terraces extend through the historic structure, while the wellness floor includes spa, fitness and relaxation facilities. Arches, copper detailing and the building’s original steelwork remain visible along the waterfront façade beside the ferry slips.
